 Hello everyone
« Thread Started on Feb 19, 2008, 7:39pm »

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing well. I'm great......The show is dark this week, so I'm enjoying a nice, and much needed break.

The Ireland storyline and aftermath was a long couple of weeks. Hopefully you got a chance to check out the "behind the scenes" clips I put together. I wanted you to get a feel for how big of a production the crash was. The actual crash set took up half the
stage, with the crew on the other half. As big as it was, I think we pulled it off.

That said, it was sad to see Frank Parker's "Grandpa Shawn" go. He is one of a kind, and will be missed. If you get a minute, try and write him to say "thanks" for all the memories.

I do like the fact that "Philip" is getting the opportunity to interact with many other characters. The crash was an unfortunate situation, but "assuming" we make it back to Salem, I think that
interaction will continue.

Most importantly though......Please don't forget how much I appreciate your continued support. It's a great feeling to know I have you in my corner....Many of you have followed my career path
from the beginning, and for that, I can't say "thank you" enough......Stay in touch, and let me know what you think of the upcoming stories on the show. And stay tuned for more webisodes I plan on putting together for you to see.

And if you happen to be in the St. Louis area, I'm doing an event there this Friday, February 22nd. Come by and say "hello"

That's about it for now. Take care, and hope to hear from you soon.

All the best,

JKJ

Jay - I loved the behind the scenes video. I still really regret not ever getting the chance to win a behind the scenes tour with you as a guide at one of those fundraisers back in the day. Oh well, I guess this'll have to be the next best thing. :)

And I am absolutely loving every freaking second of you and Nadia on screen together. I have no idea what the writers intend to do with Philip and Chloe, but man, you guys still have massive chemistry together. I'm back to watching scenes two or three times just to catch all the nuances and layers you put into them.

You guys are turning me back into a rabid Phloe fan. I'm back to dying for spoilers just so that I can find out what the two of you will be doing next.

Thanks so much for all you do to make your character so fascinating to watch. I think you're the best thing about Days. :)

Hi!!! :D

I had a feeling you'd be posting soon, so I've been checking the site like crazy! I can't tell you how good it is to hear from you. The webisode was the coolest thing! It was fun, funky, and intriguing. Loved the details and the music. Thanks for that and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Sounds like things are great for you and that's always good news. Hope you have a fun birthday weekend Jay. Wish I lived near St. Louis so I could tell ya that in person. Stay cool and keep in touch. ;D

Mindy

P.S. It is really sweet of you to mention Frank Parker and remind us of his special role as Grandpa Shawn for so many years. I watched Days as a child, so I will certainly send him a note thanking him for all those endearing memories.

Jay

Hey . . . Great to hear from you. I LOVE the behind the scenes video - everyone's talking about it. People love seeing where you and the other cast members work, what it's like - from your perspective (we only see the finished product.) That crash episode on Friday was incredible - everyone - actors, director, camera person, editor, producer, etc. - did an outstanding job.

That is a truly nice gesture re Frank Parker. He's been a familiar, welcome face to viewers - he'll be greatly missed. I'll be writing Frank, and expressing my thanks and appreciation for the many years of enjoyment he's provided.

Hope you have a great time in Missouri.

And - -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Take care,

Steve

Hey Jay! =D
It was so nice to see that video. Sometimes you cannot help but wonder what is truly is like behind the scenes. It's always nice to see the stage and you interacting with your co-stars. And about Philip's storyline; I'm absolutely thrilled that you have had a bigger part of the show lately. I love watching your scenes as the character because you put your whole soul into it. Things that may seem very small - like the details with Philip's prosthetic leg - how you made sure that we put extra note to it during the scene where Philip and Chloe are trying to get the heavy material off of his body.

It's great to see that things like that gets noted. :) Speaking of; it's wonderful to see you working with Nadia again. I have always been a Phloe fan and I made sure to turn in each day to see your storyline.

As a swedish fan; you've only just left the show a year ago. Yes, we're quite far behind. ;)
Anyway, take care of yourself! And know that I, as well as everyone else, loves the webisode.
Best wishes,
Camilla

Hi Jay,

Thank you so much for posting. It's always great to hear from you. :)

Thank you for the behind-the-scenes video. That was so interesting---what a lot of work went into the plane crash and so sad that "Grandpa Shawn" did not make it.
I hope we get more peeks behind-the-scenes in the weeks to come.

I'm happy you're getting to work with different cast members and I too hope it continues on when everyone returns to Salem. :)

Hope you have a Happy Birthday on the 24th and that you'll be able to spend some time at home after your St. Charles event on Friday. :)

Wishing you all the best Jay. Please post again soon. :)

Thanks for posting again Jay, I love hearing from you. And thanks so much for the video, it was too cool!

I'm hoping you as Phil are around on DOOL as long Grandpa Shawn was and longer.

Thanks for posting, Jay and the behind the scenes was great. I'm loving seeing you and Nadia again together. The scene of you two in the tent keeping warm reminding me of the scene in the stables some 5 years ago. Naomi

Jay....

Great hearing from you again and glad things are going so well... really enjoyed the behind the scenes video.... that crash sequence was great and I'm sure it was a huge undertaking... I am enjoying the direction that Philip is going and you are doing an outstanding job as usual.... I like the various layers and nuances you bring to Philip.... he certainly is becoming a more complex character... really enjoying Days lately... the stories are becoming more griping and intense and I am so glad that Philip is in the middle of it all......

Happy Birthday and enjoy your time in Missouri... hope you'll be able to get home and see your family.... take care; looking forward to your next post....
