It struck me today, re a story point that was mentioned several times. Yes, Nicole did try to bump Victor off. But so did Kate - and Nicole tried to help Victor and Philip foil her plot. It happened back in 2001, during Greta's coronation.
My question is, what's up with today's show, with all this talk about Nicole's attempts to kill Victor, with Kate mentioning it herself, and yet, nothing about Kate's own foiled plot? Philip, Victor, Chloe, etc. never mentioned a thing, they acted as if Kate's own plan never happened - and that puzzled me.
Did Victor, Philip and Chloe refrain from discussing it, acting like it never happened, because Kate is Philip's mother? (Or - simply were too shocked by Nicole's arrival, that all thoughts concentrated on her past deeds?) Will the writers have Nicole bring it up, when she inevitably has a run in with Kate - or Kate is mentioned? Or - has history been rewritten, with that assassination attempt forgotten?
Personally, I don't know what to make of it.

I know just what you're talking about because i watched those scenes just today on youtube. Kate's attempt on Victor's life was far more elaborate and entertaining. I'm shocked they didn't gave Philip mention it because as a teenage, he really was tormented being stuck in the middle of this plot. Those were some good episodes. But I agree, funny the writers didn't have them mention Kate's deal with Moroni.

Well, I think everyone there just hates Nicole so much and I think Kate tried to stop the attempt on Victor's life at the last minute, which is probably why she's been forgiven. And like Kate said, the things she's done she's done for her children, not herself like Nicole.

And like Kate said, the things she's done she's done for her children, not herself like Nicole. I didn't see Nicole's attempt on Victor's life - thanks for letting me know. And I caught that comment Kate made. Both could very well explain why nothing was brought up re Kate and her foiled attempt, why all seems to be forgiven or forgotten. (Though, I'm sure Nicole will certainly bring it up at one point, to Kate, or about her.) As you say, too, there wasn't one person at the dinner party - i.e., Victor, Philip, Chloe, Kate - who's a fan of Nicole's. She's certainly a common enemy of all. I think the next few episodes should be very, very interesting! Thanks again for filling in re a past storyline I didn't know! Steve
