Thanks for the caps. Love the Philip and Victor scenes. I think Philip will truly be the son of the powerful, ruthless Victor Kiriakis!

I'm glad you're liking the caps...And thanks Pags60 for posting caps as well.
Yes, I also loved those scenes between Victor and Philip, even though Victor stepping aside makes me a bit worried. I hope TPTB aren't getting rid off him next. No Kiriakis family without him.

Without Victor, a certain, powerful dynamic and history would be missing.

So true, especially now that Stefano won't be coming back anytime soon, I think it would be nice to have at least one powerful, complex character on the show. Philip is definitely smart but sometimes he could use Victor's advice.

Victor had wanted Philip to keep his hands clean . . .

Great caps, thanks KiriakisFan.
Maybe it's my way of interpreting Jay's interpretation of Philip, but I have a sense, a big sense, that he's very unhappy with his life - that he feels empty. Based on recent scenes, when both Victor and Chloe mentioned Belle, I saw the hurt in Philip's reaction - despite claims to the contrary, Philip seems to be in deep mourning over the loss of Belle in his life (perhaps about his entire love life, always being the one to be rejected for another guy) and he's become increasingly cold and unfeeling - like he wants to shut all emotions out, and just concentrate on business and physical pleasure.
I think that 'blocking out' of feeling could have something to do with the new ruthlessness in Philip. Not too long ago, Philip made it clear that there was more to life than money and power - he said these things at a time he still had hopes with Belle. He's changed since Belle chose Shawn - he's grown less feeling, more willing to take huge risks - i.e., seems to be more willing to 'play dirty' . . . At least, that's what I've gotten from the scenes . . . A growing melancholy and resentment . . . Anyone have any thoughts on this?
