I think Jay is a great actor, but I just wanted to say he's rocked his scenes the past few days. With Victor, Bo, Chloe yesterday at the pub, and today at the post office with the package. He must be working for an Emmy or a movie deal or something, because he has been on top of his game. I can't wait to see more! You go boy!

Excellent post, Sugafree. I totally agree - Jay's an incredibly talented actor, and yet, his work the past few days has even surpassed the unbelievably high standards set by his prior performances. He has truly rocked. I especially loved the scene with Peter and John from Monday's show - - in the hospital room, where Philip started to break down re his mistakes, re Victor not being proud of him, just as Victor woke up. That was such a powerful, raw, honest moment - and Jay's been delivering those kinds of moments, time and again, the past several days.
As I've watched his work the past week, I keep thinking, this is Emmy caliber - this is feature film caliber work . . . What's amazing is, Jay can be that honest, real and layered in his scenes within the very tense, intensive atmosphere of daytime production . . . Jay himself once described it in print as 'the train that is Days of our Lives' . . .

Oh, absolutely! Do you know if Jay has ever expressed in interest in doing a film? We know he could handle any role, and I would love to see that pretty face of his on the big screen!

In interviews, Jay has expressed a definite interest in doing features. He has all the talent and presence a producer, director or casting director could want in a feature film lead. Plus, as you say, he can play it all - romantic lead, villain, comedic lead . . . His work of late has been through the roof - he's as good as the top young talents on the big screen today, and certainly far better than most. It's simply a matter of time before we see him projected on that huge movie theater screen - where he belongs.

Another incredible performance from Jay today. Man, I hope the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences does right by Jay next year - - he deserves to be nominated for an Emmy.

I agree. Jay should be given more roles in the industry. I saw Jay in Scrubs a few years back and I thought he was great. Does anyone know about any news on Jay's band? He's probably one hot singer too! I wonder if he's married.

He's probably one hot singer too! I wonder if he's married. In a televised interview from a month ago, Jay was asked about his band. Due to his busy schedule on Days, his music is on the back burner at this time - that's more or less what he said.

I agree, Jay is an amazing actor. His voice alone emits so much emotion, you really feel that what's going on is real and not just a show. I look forward to many more stellar perfomances from Jay. He is a joy to watch.
