So many posters on different boards are now wanting a Phelle pairing so I wanted to see what you all thought over here. For me, #4 is how I feel. I see the obvious chemistry between Philip and Martha. But I am truly ready for Philip to be out of Shelle's storyline. I'd love to see Philip paired, but not with Belle.

I'd like for Philip to be far away from BOTH Shawn and Belle. Way too much water under the bridge for those three.
I really hate to think TPTB will sacrifice Philip for Shawn and Shelle the way he was sacrificed for Brady and Broe. NO WAY do I want Philip to go down that road----AGAIN!!

Agree.... they work well together and there's a lot of chemistry there, but no more Phelle..... Philip needs a love interest who loves him totally for who he is .....

Martha and Jay are great together - they have undeniable chemistry. I love watching their scenes - their recent ones are among the best of both.
However, I'm not for a Philip/Belle pairing. Too much bad blood between them. Belle lead Philip on - she married him, she never loved him, she kept telling him she did. Philip deserves a woman how loves HIM, and is truthful to him. He deserves so much more than what Belle dished at him. We've seen Philip on the losing end of a triangle - twice. We've seen Philip 'sacrificed' - twice - to make the 'other guy' come out like a knight in shining armor, to justify another pairing. I'm sick and tired of Jay's Philip being on the losing end of one triangle after another. Keep Philip as far away from Belle as possible.
You know - I wish either Jay or Martha were playing another character. Then, I'd say - YES! In fact, I DO say YES - to a pairing of them, as actors, but have to pass, re their characters as a romantic couple.

I don't want to see Philip on the losing end of a triangle again either. The Broe mess was enough. Philip deserves better. We know from his North Shore series that Jay is very capable of playing a lover.

I don't love the pairing, but, I do like them, so I'm warming up to them.
I have said a long time ago that since the recast of Belle the whole Shelle dynamic has changed and since Claire came into the world I knew that Shelle might be the bio parents but their relationship would never be the same cuz one way or the other Belle always cared and always will care for Phil. I also always have said that though Shelle might be soulmates that doesn't mean that they belong together, because Phelle also have a bond, just like IMO Rimi were soulmates, but they weren't meant to be together, now, I'm not saying either Shelle or Phelle should hook up permanently, but, I wouldn't mind seeing either coupling. But for the time being I would like to see Shawn deal with Willow and their child and Phil should do some soulsearching and Belle should reconnect with her parents and than we'll see how things go from there.

There looked like there were some sparks today when Philip visited Belle in the hospital........ I really like Jay and Martha working together, but still don't want to see a Philip and Belle pairing nor a Philip - Shawn - Belle triangle..... that's been done; please not again.....

Maybe Jay and Martha work well together, but that's no reason to put them in ANY kind of romantic relationship. I'm really tired of Philip being on the losing end of a triangle-----and you know he'll be on the losing end because Shelle are the "Golden Couple". Belle made her choice clear just as Chloe did. I want something BETTER for Philip. I don't want to see Philip beaten down again. So---for me--it's NO to Phelle. I couldn't take another triangle. We've been there--done that. Can we PLEASE have a different storyline for Philip that does NOT revolve around Shelle? Is that asking for too much?

I'm tuning back to Days because of Jay/Philip along with the fantastic chemistry he has with Martha.
Whether Belle & Philip fight like cats and dogs or act like genuine friends, I just love watching them together. I'd love to see another go at a Belle/Philip pairing. Who says that Shelle is written in stone? Yeah, it seems like the writers have been deadset for nearly a decade to put those two together but other than the fact that they are the children of supercouples, there's nothing intensely passionate or interesting about them. However, I see that missing intensity in scenes between MM's Belle and JKJ's Philip. It'd be great to have Belle slowly realize that her puppy love for Shawn is just that - and find herself falling for Philip instead.

Welcome to JKJ-NOW, Spiritualjunkie!
I love the chemistry between Jay and Martha - they really spark together. I do feel, however, feel that Shelle IS etched in Stone. Corday has wanted that couple to be the next supercouple since September, 1999. I don't see him changing his mind, either.
Also, while I love the Jay/Martha chemistry, I don't want Philip to hook up with Belle. The primary being - NO MORE TRIANGLES (at least with Philip the losing corner.) Jay's been there, done that - with the Philip/Chloe/Brady saga. Look at how that turned out. I truly doubt that Jay returned, to more or less continue where Philip left off in December, 2002. But that's exactly what's happened - replace Chloe with Belle/Claire, Brady with Shawn, and you have nothing more than a continuation. We've seen this already. How about some original writing, for once - esp. for Jay?
IF they 'heat' up this current Shawn/Belle/Philip triangle, it will be more of the same. Jay deserves his OWN story, one revolving around Philip. (If they DO use him in a triangle, how about Philip being the CENTER this time, with two ladies vying for his affections?)
Again, welcome to JKJ-NOW.

Corday can want all he wants, heck, we can want all we want, neither we or he can call the shots, he does not have the final word.
Well, a triangle is gonna happen... no changing that, nd I don't mind, I like both couples, but, I take Phelle anyday over Shelle (atleast these pairings.)

Hi, Charmingangel - welcome back to JKJ-NOW. Glad to see you here. It is a bit frustrating, dealing with this soap. LOL! NONE of the fan bases are happy. We often feel helpless, when it comes to dealing with a network or a show. We certainly felt that way, dealing with FOX re North Shore. In the end, we didn't get that renewal - but we DID make ourselves heard, and we DID support Jay. Re Days - I'm sure more than one individual calls the shots. Corday's the producer - he certainly has input into matters of importance. The network also plays a huge part in this. (We've been writing both.) As for that triangle being a done deal, that may be. So was the heavy duty story that Corday and Sheffer outlined for Jay, before he agreed to return. THAT STORY didn't happen. The soaps change direction all the time. If that promised storyline can disappear, so can a triangle. It may still come to be, but then again . . . Re us - no, we don't call the shots. Very true. BUT - we CAN write, and e-mail (as many of us have been doing) on Jay's behalf, in a heartfelt attempt to get him that storyline he deserves, one that he never got. We've sent messages to Corday, Sheffer, NBC Ent. Pres. Kevin Reilly, Jeff Zucker (another NBC exec.), various editors/writers of the two soap publications. We're trying - for JAY. We've been working hard on this campaign, and our efforts are paying off. The difference between our efforts to renew North Shore, and those to gain Jay his own story, are HUGE. FOX didn't acknowledge us - NO ONE did. That's not the case, with his current campaign for Jay. We've gotten the attention of both soap publications. SOD is about to publish either a letter, or a 'nod' to our efforts - the 4th such reference since we started. I personally want to thank everyone who's pitched it, everyone who's helped to gain attention to the fact that this show has NOT delivered for Jay. I also ask that you continue with those efforts - for JAY. We're being heard. This doesn't guarantee anything. But it DOES show TPTB how much support Jay has - and that's important, in and of itself. THAT support sends a loud and clear message - one that benefits Jay - to NBC, the publications, etc. Steve

I kind of liked Phelle in the beginning, but not anymore after the way Belle has treated Philip. I want to see Philip with someone new, someone who will love and respect him. I too am tired of Philip being on the losing end of triangles. Philip is a great character and he should be part of a great pairing.

If TPTB want romance--bring on someone new. Belle (and Mimi) have far too much baggage! I want someone better for Philip!
