over at soap digest.com there is some praise for jay's work on dool...just thought you guys would wanna see it www.soapoperadigest.com/opinions/111307/index.htmlFrom Elaine G. Flores I am hooked on DAYS OF OUR LIVES right now because of the Shawn/Belle/Philip storyline. DAYS is on at 2 o’clock here in New York, which is the same time as AS THE WORLD TURNS and ONE LIFE TO LIVE; I decide which soap to watch based on whether these three are featured. I've never been particularly interested in Belle or Shawn, especially post-recasts. Jay Kenneth Johnson's Philip has captured my attention. I like that he's grown up from cute rich boy to full-fledged Kiriakis scion, using his wealth and power to get what he wants.

Thanks for posting the link and message.
Jay's been exceptional of late. He's always been so very good - and he keeps getting better and better. I think his work on Days, esp. since Ed Scott took over as producer, has been his best yet. The depth and raw emotion he displayed, as Philip told Belle in the church that he might have to give you his son. (Didn't like the unexpected direction that storyline took, but what incredible moments Jay gave us.) I loved his recent scenes with Lauren - the back and forth verbal sparring, with Philip and Kate trying to best the other. And Thursday, opposite Bryan - the intensity.
If Jay doesn't get a nod from TPTB at Days - if his name isn't submitted to the Television Academy for Best Supporting Actor consideration - something's wrong somewhere. He's the best on the show - he deserves that recognition. (I'll be voicing my opinion in e-mails and letters to Ken Corday, Ben Silverman, Jeff Zucker, etc.)
Thanks again for sharing, Heyyallimcountry.
