WOW! Thank you so much, Heyyallimcountry! That piece is IT! So many of us have been saying those very same things to Corday and TPTB for months. Two potential story lines were dropped (Post Traumatic Stress, Tyler), and he was used all those months as a prop for Shelle. Now, I see so much potential for Philip, but WHEN is this story going to take off?
I'm going to get a copy of this magazine, copy the story and mail it, along with a letter, to TPTB at Days, and NBC - also, I intend to send e-mails with the text, leaving no stone unturned so to speak. SOW 'gets it' re Jay - that this immensely talented and charismatic actor, one the show should make a front burner lead, is being wasted. WHY?
I thought Days was finally 'getting it' as well - but things are taking so long to develop, I just wonder - when will this multi-leveled story for Jay/Philip get off the ground? They can't develop Philip's story when he's only on two days a week, and just a few minutes each day, at that.
If a few people e-mail and mail this piece to Mr. Ken Corday, Mr. Ed Scott, Ms. Dena Higley, etc., maybe Days will finally 'get' what we and the two publications see - and do something about it.
Thanks again, Heyyallimcountry!

Thanks for the info..... haven't gotten my copy of SOW yet.... BUT totally agree how Jay has been wasted all these months and deserves a front burner story.... will be copying and sending letters to TPTB to urge that Jay be given a better story.. a love interest... and more air time...

The network had a rare set of circumstances re Jay - - he was doing double duty in its daytime and prime time (Scrubs) divisions. Despite a natural PR angle, NBC failed to take advantage of that situation, failed to promote one show through the other via Jay (i.e., they failed to promote JAY, in the way they've successfully promoted Ali Sweeney's double duty assignments on Days and The Biggest Loser.)
Jay is a genuine find for that or any network. This Critical Mass piece summarizes what so many of us have written, time and again, to Days and NBC. If the network execs don't see what they have in Jay, it's only a matter of time before another network does - and it will be NBC's loss.

Not sure who wrote it, but the author deserves personal thanks - I'm planning to write and/or e-mail him or her, as soon as I know the individual's identity. Once I have the article in hand, I'll be sending copies along with letters and e-mails to the brass at both the series and the network. (NBC goofed re Jay, Scrubs and Days - what a great promotional opportunity they passed up.) I've already drafted two letters/e-mails, one for TPTB at Days and NBC, plus another for SOW.

Thanks so much for posting that link. I agree with all of you too. Right now, I think Jay's being wasted. His main SL--the Kiriakis/ DiMera story is moving so SLOOOOOOOW!! I want to see Philip and Victor make a move on Jawn!!! Unfortunately, I've read of no Philip spoilers coming up regarding that!
