Late-breaking news SOD Oct. 7th issue

In the Late-bteaking news stuff we know (and shouldn't tell you) page in the Oct. 7th issue it says:

Looks like Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) will be sticking around Salem. "We've been talking and we're working out something." he reveals. "I'm not opposed to anything:I'm having a good time"

Also in the comings and goings section he says in regard to Kristen Renton (Morgan Hollingsworth) leaving "I am sad about it " says co-star Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip). "It was definitely a shock: I found out in the script. I just don't know if they knew where they wanted to go with that story and unfortunately, she had to get cut. I think she's a great actress and I'm definitely going to miss her, but I think she'll move on and do bigger and better things." Hope we hear something from Jay himself soon.

I truly appreciate reading Jay's kind words re Kristen. Imagine learning that she was being written out via the script. Hearing so many stories about how Days actors found they've been let go, I wonder how Kristen actually learned the news herself. I wish her all the best.

Steve, there is also an article in the SOD about Day's Morgan on Ouster. It is rather long so I won't try to type it all. "I did not see it coming." admits Kristen Renton of learning that her alter ego would be moving out of Salem. "It came as quite a shock. I actually found out when I received a script the first week of our hiatus (in August) I read it and realized, "Wow, they're sending me to Chicago. This might not be a good thing" And when everybody got back from hiatus, it was confirmed to me."

Wow, they didn't even have the decency to tell her up front. Incredible. They've done things like that to others - Steve Blackwood, Brody Hutzler, etc.

Thanks for posting. Wow I missed a lot because of that Ike fella. lol. I hope we hear from Jay soon as well and he was sweet to say those kind words about Kristen. I'm sure she will have success in whatever she does.
