CAMPAIGN: 'Recognize this guy?'

Based on recent episodes, previews and spoilers, Jay's Philip may be back in Salem - but his days as a prop continue. IF things are to change, WE need to continue the campaign - to find new ways of drawing attention to our letters and e-mails. One thing we haven't done - to date - is display an image of Jay directly on the envelope.

FOR LETTERS TO POST . . .

For snail mail letters (e-mails need to be handled a bit differently - as outlined below), I thought we could print, cut and tape/paste small head shots of Jay to both sides of the (anonymous) envelopes. (No return address required - that will enable us to send as many as we wish.) Next to the photo, we could print, in red - on each side . . .

Month after month, The Powers That Be behind NBC serial Days of our Lives asked Jay to reprise his role of Philip Kiriakis. The show KNEW it needed Jay. He came back. And he’s been doing phenomenal work since his return debut in mid January.

Only one thing . . .

HE DOESN’T HAVE A STORYLINE OF HIS OWN!

Just wanted to remind TPTB at Days – and those at NBC and the two soap publications, SOW and SOD - that Jay brought many supporters back to Days, all of whom returned for one reason and one reason only: to watch JAY. Those returning viewers only comprise a portion of his support base: many faithful Days fans, who never stopped tuning in, welcomed Jay back to the show.

Whether returning, or loyal, viewer, we've been wondering . . .

WHERE IS JAY’S STORYLINE?

Jay’s an actor who can bring life – layered, conflicted, raw, emotional life – to his characterizations. It’s time that Days ended Philip’s 'days' as a prop, as the losing end in a triangle, and brought him FRONT AND CENTER!

Count me in. I'm all for Jay having his OWN storyline. I don't want to see Philip revolve around Shelle in the future.
