Philip and Chloe letter in new SOD

I'm thrilled that my letter got printed this week in SOD. As a scorned Phloe fan, I wanted to put it out there that most of us have not forgotten what TPTB did to Jay's character. If Chloe is returning and will be involved with Philip, I, for one, do NOT want to see him grovel, chase, or beg for her love the way we had to watch him in the past and currently see him doing with Belle. Here's the letter....

Ebb and "Phloe"

There are mixed feelings in the "Phloe" camp with the news of Nadia Bjlorlin's return as Chloe on DAYS. Five years ago, we had to sit and watch our couple be mercilessly destroyed in order to pave the way for a Brady and Chloe romance. Before then, Philip and Chloe had maintained one of the largest, most loyal fan bases in DAY's history. It was nothing less than heartbreaking to watch Philip turn into a villain while Brady was crowned Chloe's hero and savior. If Chloe is going to re-enter Philip's life, TPTB owe it to their fans to do it right. We've already seen Philip grovel and beg for Chloe's heart. It's time for Chloe to see him in a new light. Jay Kenneth Johnson does a tremendous job in showcasing Philip's many layers. he may be fiery and intense, but he's also sensitive and loyal. Chloe should acknowledge him as the man who once loved her completely and a man worth fighting for.

GREAT LETTER, Mindy - CONGRATULATIONS!

You really told it like it was - and is. Let's hope TPTB will finally 'get it'. (Seeing how Philip interacts with Belle much like he interacted with Chloe back then, it's obvious they haven't 'gotten it' yet. If people continue to write in support of Jay, of Philip, of Philip's storyline, such as this, perhaps the execs will finally open their eyes.)

Great letter. But I must admit, you are right about the mixed emotions. I was one of those big Phloe fans...heck I still watch my old Phloe tapes but I don't know about a Phloe reunion. Chloe use to be one of my favorite characters but they turned her into a vain and useless person. I was really hoping they would put Philip with someone new. Maybe Stephanie or Morgan.

I'm pretty much the same way. Used to be a Phloe fan--but that was then and this is now. Too much water under the bridge and too much hurt for both Shelle and Phloe. To me, a viable Phloe would have to be a total Chloe re-write. TPTB seem to love to do rewrites of both characters and history ---so who knows.
Frankly, Philip should cut his losses and move on. Someone new is a popular idea. I'm open to "Morgan". Philip doesn't need any more selfish, self-centered women in his life. Some new blood would be nice wouldn't it?

I'm reading that Chloe makes her apperance on Nov 29.
If that's the case, Shelle will already be married. I really believe it's going to be Chloe to find out about the Phelle sex and tell Shawn.
