This "turf war" story is going to be a great SL for Jay/ Philip. Seeing Philip and Victor go head-to-head with John Black DiMera will be exciting to see play out. Victor can be ruthless---Philip will learn from the master!! Yesterday's (Mar 17) episode was awesome and it's about time Jay got to work with the vets e.g. Drake and Deidre. To me, this is a much better SL for Philip than ANOTHER triangle from the past. SO--I'm really looking forward to the Kiriakis/ DiMera power struggle.

I agree, Janice. It looks like Days if FINALLY about to give Jay a story - well over a year after his return. A story he'll be front and center - a new, interesting story, not a boring, recycled triangle. I wish TPTB hadn't wasted so much time in giving Jay something to work with.

All I can say is that finally Jay is getting a story that is worthy of his talent and acting ability..... Jay will finally be able to showcase his talent in a good and powerful story with the vets... it's been a long time coming but it looks like it's here at last!!

I agree Steve and pags. Jay's getting a good SL and is now interacting with so many more cast members. I just read that Philip will be having scenes with Tony. I'm just delighted that finally Jay is getting to work with the vets in what appears to be a front-burner SL.

I'm looking forward to the Kiriakis/Dimera feud as well. I expect Victor and Philip to teach John a few lessons now that he wants to play with the big dogs. In the midst of these battles, I wonder how and if Philip will be changed in all this. Philip is studious and loyal, but he's also honest and his conscious has always saved him from the dark parts of his mind. No matter how flawed Philip becomes, Jay always manages to pull all those imperfections into relatable human characteristics of strengths and weaknesses. I have to say that I'm looking forward to more romance for Philip as well. Chloe living in that mansion could add all kinds of interesting scenarios. I love that Victor has always disapproved of her. I also love the fact that Philip is no longer her whipping boy. She chose Brady over Phil and now she needs him and he's not there with open arms. What happens when Philip continues to reject her? What happens if Philip has to woo Morgan to get to her father? Not to mention, Nicole is coming back. I don't EVER want anything romantic with Philip and Nicole, but they have always sparred well. The history is there, the story is there. It just has to be written well. They need to drop that ridiculous "missing Brady" SL though. It's boring and irrelevant and they really need to move on. Also, Victor mentioning Philip would be good in politics got my attention the other day too. Very interesting. I don't know if I'd like that. When's the last time Salem had a politician? Was it Senator Devereaux? I guess it could be a refreshing twist?

After a slow start, with Jay's Philip being the losing end in the Chelle triangle, and TPTB inexplicably dropping the Tyler story, I finally see things on the Philip horizon. There's a great deal of potential there. So many directions to move in - so many aspects of Philip's life that can be delved into, simultaneously.
I would love to see politics in Philip's future - and how Philip's past actions, both good and bad, come into play with that run for office. Also, I'm in total agreement with Mindy, I would love not to hear Brady mentioned every five minutes. That element, for me, is the first thing that needs to GO!
