I loved Friday's show. Jay was great from the get go, with the wonderfully dry, sarcastic delivery of his first line - about 'buying him dinner first.' It was fun watching the back and forth between Philip and John - they're really setting the ground work for a must-see storyline. And Jay and Drake certainly made the scene tense, exciting and humorous, all at the same time.
And the food fight between Nicole and Chloe - - what can I say, in that elegant mansion . . . But, POOR JAY. What it is with Days' always having Jay get it in the face or on the head? First, way back, when Kirsten played Belle, he got ice cream dumped over his hair. Then, the bucket of blood at the first Last Blast . . . Belle - now played by Martha - tossing tea in Philip's face - and hitting Jay square on - while on Tinda Lao . . . Shawn (Brandon's Shawn) taking dead aim on Philip's eyes with aerosol spray. Now, orange juice, courtesy of Nicole.
Is it written in Jay's contract that he gets doused or drenched once every so many years? LOL! But Jay, being the professional he is, did each of those scenes to perfection.

I agree, Jay was great again... and I loved the way he delivered that line as well.... it was perfect - just the right bit of sarcasm - the back and forth bickering between Drake and Jay was humorous.... I especially like the strong and defiant Philip - not giving an inch and standing firm - Jay was terrific.... but why or why is Jay always the brunt of things dumped or thrown at him.... blood, hot tea, and aerosol spray, and now juice - poor guy! I really liked how Jay/Philip reacted to the juice thrown in his face.... Jay is a terrific actor who can handle anything they give him to do!!!!

I thought that was really funny, especially how Chloe ducked at the last minute and Philip never saw it coming...lol... I just wish we could have seen more of his reaction at the end of that scene.

Pags - great retrospective of Philip being sprayed, coated, splashed, etc. All I can say is, poor Jay!
I agree, Phloeishot, it was funny (not for Jay though!) The show seems to be finding its humorous side, to juxtapose the heavy drama of late - a nice balance.
The Chloe-Nicole food fight scene ended before Philip - in a slight, wet state of shock - had enough time to react, and most likely, hit the roof. That not-too-happy look of what the . . .? was priceless. I'm sure the story will pick up where it left off - at least I hope it does. (Don't think Jay's on Monday - maybe Tuesday? Can't wait to see the continuation of that scene.)

Absolutely LOVED the show. Loved that Jay gets a chance to play such a strong, collected, and fiery Philip. The sarcasm and humor was like icing on the cake. Pags, super screencaps of Jay/Philip getting doused over the years. I'm like you Steve, poor Jay. But he's so good about it. And *ahem* may I just say Jay's the best looking thing drenched in orange juice that I've ever seen. *fans self* I can't wait for Tuesday! Higley is quickly becoming a friend of mine if she keeps Jay working Philip like this! I'm lovin' it! And Chloe and Nicole. LOL!!! Ari is a hoot!
